Two shots

This, is my story.

It was near midnight, and I was watching the plant running.
The afternoon was so hot I can barely stay outside for even 1 minute. Working after the cruel sun set seems to be the ideal choice. The wind is still punishing us with its overly warm breeze. We need to push on. The production is too low this month. Our client is chasing us for the materials. And the bosses are not so forgiving. This, is the workers' life, our plight.
It was near midnight, and I was watching the plant running.

From a distant, I saw a motorbike. It was approaching the site.
The sound of its engine well buried by the crusher's deafening sound. Four shadowly figures appeared with the bike. They came down and started shouting. Stop the plant, they commanded. In their hands, several sharp weapons can be seen. We had to obey and we stopped the plant.
Who are they, and what they want? Nobody knows. We are told we will know who they are and their purpose the next morning. A breath of relief beneath the fear. A sign of survival through the night it is, at least.
From a distant, I saw a motorbike. It was parked some distance away.

The guards stood there, helplessly.
They snatched the guards' firearms and amminutions. The guards were unwilling to confront the four strangers. This, I can understand. They are the local mafias. Not much we can do against them. The police are behind them, the politicians backing them. How could we risk ourselves for these people, who couldnt care less about their own lives. We, still have our own families to feed. They too, the security guards, have families to feed. The strangers loaded the firearms, and fire two shots into the air, breaking the now silent night. Run the plant again, and we will kill you, they say.
The guards stood there, helplessly.

They left, but we are still trembling.
I called my superior, and the security firm's boss. This is a situation beyond me to control. The security boss came, my superiors assured my that the company will look into this matter. I still smell fear within the camp. No words seems to be able to assure them. Each of us thinking, who are the strangers, and what they want. What can the company do, what can the security guards do? Dozens of questions ran through our mind. Should we leave? Should we stay? That night, we only had winks of sleep.
They left, but we are still trembling.

This, is the story of my supervisor at site.

Phuket

I missed out reporting my trip to Phuket.
So here goes.

Day 1
Arrived in Phuket.
They have a damn nice airport I must say. Its beautiful. Not as advance as KLIA, but its beautiful. It has its very own seaview. Yup. Its by the beach. Beat that Malaysia.

In the airport, me n my travelmate, Kumar was approached by several private taxi drivers. Its not rowdy as expected though. They have a tight Tourist frenly ethic I guess. We went agency hopping before decided to take a mini-van (cheapest way to get around Phuket) to Patong Beach. It was our 1st stop. Or u can say the only stop.

We booked a nice hotel through an agency. Not really a bad deal. Cheaper than a normal walk-in. I rather find one myself but it was the first day, so what the Heck.

We didnt do much that night, I think. I have a bad memory.
Speaking of bad memory.....I entire forgot about the flow of the trip.....

So, till next time folks
